Spaghetti Meat Sauce
Yield: A whole lot.
Ingredients:
2 pound Ground Beef
1 medium Yellow Onion diced
1 ⅓ tablespoons Kosher Salt divided and more to taste
¼ cup Carrot grated
3 cloves Garlic finely chopped/minced
28 ounces Diced Tomatoes
28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes or tomato sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
1.5 cups water or Chicken Stock
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 tablespoon Oregano
½ tablespoon dried Basil
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley optional
Directions:
Cook ground beef and 2 teaspoons of salt on medium high heat till browned
Remove most of the grease from pan
Add diced onions and 1 teaspoon of salt sauté till soften
Add garlic and cook till fragrant about 30 seconds.
Add rest of ingredients.
Simmer for 30 - 60 minutes, stirring every 5 to 10 minutes.
After about 30 minutes use emersion blender to blend to desired consistency.
Taste and add additional salt and pepper as needed while continuing to simmer.
