Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Yield: A whole lot.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion diced
  • 1 ⅓ tablespoons Kosher Salt divided and more to taste
  • ¼ cup Carrot grated
  • 3 cloves Garlic finely chopped/minced
  • 28 ounces Diced Tomatoes
  • 28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1.5 cups water or Chicken Stock
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano
  • ½ tablespoon dried Basil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley optional

Directions:

  1. Cook ground beef and 2 teaspoons of salt on medium high heat till browned
  2. Remove most of the grease from pan
  3. Add diced onions and 1 teaspoon of salt sauté till soften
  4. Add garlic and cook till fragrant about 30 seconds.
  5. Add rest of ingredients.
  6. Simmer for 30 - 60 minutes, stirring every 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. After about 30 minutes use emersion blender to blend to desired consistency.
  8. Taste and add additional salt and pepper as needed while continuing to simmer.
